In 1998, the Province of Ramallah and al-Bireh named a street in Ramallah after Hanna Mikhail : Abu Omar.
In May 2010 the Municipality of Ramallah added a panel with brief information about Abu Omar.
The panel was unveiled in a ceremony led by the Mayoress of Ramallah and attended by Abu Omar's wife, family members and many friends.
There was wide warm welcome of this honoring, many friends sent their responses by e-mail...
